Here And Now - Downtown SLOHere And Now News is an on and offline newsletter designed, created and distributed by Prevail PR, a small business marketing company located in San Luis Obispo, CA.  As a philosophy, Prevail PR believes in helping small businesses compete through a mix of marketing, innovation and strategy, and providing their services absolutely risk-free.

One of these tools is this newsletter, blog and website, which are offered free of charge to all of its readers and provide not only an interactive platform for local advertisers and the community, but a real-time case study of how marketing in the information age needs to engage its audience.  Our goal is to exceed our advertisers’ expectations on their return of investment, thereby showing them how with your help, we can strengthen our community and grow a grassroots newsletter from 1000 copies to who knows…

Each issue, we will take a look at the major topics concerning downtown by asking the community, as well as get their participation in polls, contests, editorials and photo submissions. We’ll also promote all the major events going on downtown, from the hottest meals to the coolest deals.  Of course, many of you are here for the contests, and yes, we will have plenty of those for you.

Most of all, we want to give you what you want so be sure to let us know if you have any comments or complaints. We know we are only as good as our last issue, and that with your suggestions, we can get better with each and every one.
